The standing and walking aid for adolescents. Thomy-Walker is developed and completely produced and assembled in Switzerland. It is suitable for adolescents as of 140 cm or a weight of 40 kg or heavier. As the centre stilt is placed in front of the orthosis, the aid can be entered from behind. The patient doesn’t have to be lifted up entirely. The support with a Thomy-Walker for a patient with a movement disability in terms of a conceptualised movement optimisation requires a specialist analysis of the adolescent’s individual capabilities and restrictions. The first contact is thus intended for a confidence-building experience and the definition of requirements the product has to meet. Then the Thomy-Walker is made to measure and the supporting persons are introduced in its function and handling.
